December Photo Dump

I haven't posted in awhile about our life lately, so I guess this is as good as time as any!

We are getting ready for Christmas here. I was just reflecting over the past few Christmases. Four years ago, Mike was in training for his job and we had no kids. Three years ago, we had just moved and we had a newborn. Two years ago I was pregnant with a one year old. One year ago I had a two year old and a six month old. This year I have a 3 year and a 1 1/2 year old. WOW.

We have meager Christmas decorations out this year. All my beautiful Shiny Brites are tucked away safely in the basement. Maybe I will bring them out in a few years. This year we have a tiny little tree with just a few ornaments.

One of the boys decided to add a special touch and put some play food in our tree this year.

I believe it is a Melissa and Doug cucumber.

Their own version of hiding the pickle in the tree I guess!

Of course it took no time for the tree to get pushed over.

Both boys are in the Christmas spirit. In this picture anyway.

It's been warm enough to do a little playing outside.

I have no words. Hairstyle by Mike.

Our town sets up an amazing drive through light display at one of the parks. In a few days we will get to go through it by carriage - a tradition my parents started last year. But we took the boys through one night

Mike and I worked hard on my outdoor chalkboard.

Let's just say chalk art is not my strong suit.

My mom and I made sugar cookies. They were so good! I talked her into making orange frosting so I could do a rainbow of cookies. I love rainbows. Evidence of God keeping His promise.

I had an ultrasound on my thyroid. That was no fun. Certainly not as fun as an ultrasound to see a baby.

Fortunately that test came back normal.

Grayson is like a teenager in this beanbag chair his Grandma Beth made him.

This month has been about cleaning and purging. This was about all the clothes I had in my side of the closet.

So sad right?

Mike took me shopping then and I got all new clothes. I haven't gotten new clothes in probably two years.

I made cinnamon dough ornaments.

And saw my cardiologist. (All okay there too)

And took Easton for his 18 month drs appointment.

And last night did a little reflecting on the Christmas season.
