Day in the Life

So today I read a Day in the Life post from a blogger that I follow. After I read through it and looked at all her pictures, I clicked the page closed and just sat there thinking...Is that how families with typical kids operate? What could I get done with my life if my kids were typical? Friends, that is a slippery slope and one I have to choose not to go down on a pretty regular basis. Because lately, all I am seeing is people moving ahead in life. Doing amazing things. I am not just seeing that on social media, but in REAL LIFE too. I see it in my own husband for starters. Meanwhile my day - every single day - is like Groundhog's Day (the movie) where I just clean up puke and poop. All day long. Every single day. The same. It's maddening. My friends get to go, see and do. I come home from running kids and we don't leave the house for the rest of the night because it's just me. This weekend I was home the ENTIRE weekend.
