We Went Swimming!

Image
Good friends of the family Mark and Vicki installed a pool at their house last year. We had been planning to go over and use it all summer but just never could get it worked out with our schedule. Until last week! We had SO MUCH FUN at their pool. Grayson was the most relaxed and happy I have seen him in probably ever. He is definitely a water baby!  Vicki had a baby pool ready for Easton, and that was such a thoughtful gesture! She also got toys out for him to play with, and he was a happy camper. Added bonus: Both kids were happily exhausted from an afternoon of swimming and went to bed early. They fell asleep on our evening walk. It was blissful. Thank you, Mark and Vicki, for an awesome time at your pool! Now for some pics :) Super Dad!

Easton | 14 Months

My sweet baby is turning 14 months old. Mike and I often refer to him as our "Mild Child" in direct contrast to Grayson who is our "Wild Child." Easton is incredibly laid back - most of the time. He goes with the flow - usually. But in those times where he doesn't want to be laid back, and he doesn't want to go with the flow? WATCH. OUT. He can throw a giant fit! He is quite dramatic. Easton has a big personality, despite his usual demeanor. I am not sure how that is even possible, but that is the case! He has the neatest sense of humor I have ever seen displayed by a baby. He has his running bag of "tricks" that he does for us - and his newest one is putting his hands on his head when we say, "OH NO!" He is always so pleased with himself after going through his little routine that he...

Show and Tell Tuesdays | Who I Was In High School

Image
Today I am linking up with Andrea at Momfessionals for her Show and Tell Tuesdays. Today's topic is: Tell (And Show) Us Who You Were In High School. This is timely since last weekend I had to re-live (somewhat begrudgingly) high school memories at Mike's 15 year high school reunion. My 15 year reunion will be next year, and if you are wondering, I won't be attending. Why? I really disliked high school. I cannot emphasize that enough. I don't have many pictures from high school. Most of those pictures were pitched or buried in a bin in my basement, long forgotten. What I do have, I scrounged from Facebook and some old yearbooks. 10th Grade 10th Grade | Interesting Story. The powers that be in yearbook editing placed a picture of me making this face next to a picture of my high school crush holding a trophy. The people at my high school were a special kind of cruel.  My senior year - my brother's Family Day at his base. The baby pic...
