Easton | 12 Weeks
Easton is 12 weeks old. Wow! It is hard to believe that just 12 weeks ago, Mike and I met Easton. It feels as he has always been a vital part of our little family unit.
As he is getting a little bit older, his personality is really coming out. What we are seeing is a sweet, laid-back little guy. We aren't sure if it is entirely possible for a 12 week old to have a sense of humor, but he is already showing signs of one. The other day as I changed his diaper, he decided to pee everywhere. Not unusual for a baby, I know. I am a fast enough diaper changer, but not this time. He managed to pee up and over the pack and play, hit my leg and then left a nice sized puddle on the kitchen floor. And then, he broke out in a HUGE GRIN.
Oh man. We are in for it!
He is at his very happiest in the morning. I think he got this being a morning person thing from his Grandma Beth. He is all smiles, coos and giggles.
He loves his taggie blanket - he likes clutching it in his hands. Speaking of which, his fists are forever clenched. Maybe that is a newborn thing. I don't know.
He is a pretty cool customer. He has his fits of fussiness, but the witching hours in the evening are now just one singular witching hour! Of course today that did not prove to be the case as he fussed all evening while I was trying to make dinner and feed Grayson.
He eats every three hours throughout the day. At his last doctors appointment at 8 weeks, he was 12 lbs 8 oz. I am amazed by how chubby he is! I am not used to having a baby with rolls and folds. He is nearly out of 3 month clothes and closing in on 6 month clothes.
He is still not a huge fan of the paci, but he takes it better now than he did. He would much rather suck on his fist.
As far as sleep goes, he has been sleeping through the night for the most part for a little while now. He goes to sleep around 9:30 or so and wakes up around 5 am to eat. This morning he slept until 7 so that was exciting. I am not counting on that to repeat itself. He is still so young, and I am all too familiar with sleep regression!
