Insta-Friday!

Well, I cheated this week. Not every picture I uploaded through Instagram, because let's face it...that takes up some precious time that I sometimes just don't have.

What's the big deal this week in blogland about pictures that you take of yourself that are called "selfies?" I have seen them on several blogs. So I thought I would try one. This took me about 10 attempts to get one that is halfway decent. When I look at this picture, all I can think is how my eyebrows need waxed.

This is what my mornings are usually like. Mike, Gray and I hanging out in the kitchen. Yes, I know you aren't supposed to have babies in bumbo seats on elevated surfaces, but Mike was right there, and Gray was strapped in tight.

This little guy is much like his mama. He loves having his feet free. I found him like this the other day -he had his entire leg kicked out of his sleeper, which is a first. Usually just his foot breaks free. I just laughed at him, which caused him to give me this cheeky little smile. And that is where he is just like his daddy. Always making me laugh!
I was inspired by my cousin Betsey's blog a few weeks ago - she had posted these cute Valentine's Day gifts and cards from the Urban Outfitter's offshoot Terrain. One of their products was a banner that said All You Need Is Love. I figured I could probably recreate that - so I broke out my Cricut and spent a Sunday afternoon in between the baby's naps creating this. I was really pleased by how it turned out! Take my word for it. Do not see this movie. Especially on Valentine's Day. It is incredibly morbid, and I cried.  After it was over, I told Mike we needed to watch something funny....so we watched Modern Family...which did the trick. Until I woke up this morning to this news: Meteor Hits Earth - Which is the entire premise of the movie!!! ONLY the meteor in the movie was 70 square miles. But seriously. STILL SCARY. Nightmare inducing, I'd say.

Note to self: Don't make cupcakes unless you have people to share them with. I should have sent the two dozen cupcakes I made to Mike's post.

Mike surprised me with roses for Valentine's Day! That was a huge shock because I rarely get flowers, and when I do they are daisies (my fave!) But I love these roses so much! And the sweet card. Mike and I almost got the same card for each other, but he decided to go serious this year :)

We watched my parents dogs for them while they were in Florida. How cute are these two?

I spent some time this morning poring over coupons. Thankful my MIL saves these for me - they have been a big help!
