Shopping and Such

I've been reading some blogs recently that feature "What I Wore Wednesdays" and the bloggers document what they wear every day of the week - through pictures.

It's very intriguing.

I would LOVE to do that - and maybe I'll start. But I have a few things to overcome like:

-I am not into fashion. Give me pair of sweats or yoga pants and one of Mike's old t-shirts and I am a happy camper.

-Most days I only wear my standard black pants and a blue shirt. No, I don't work at Chase but you would think I did by the looks of my closet. Now that it is warm outside, I switch it up with wearing a black dress or a black skirt with the blue shirt. I wish I was kidding.

-I am NOT photogenic. And I hate having my picture taken.

But maybe I need to break out of this shell and do something a little crazy. Even if it is only posting pictures of what I am wearing one time a week.

Mike and I went to Target before church yesterday with the express purpose of finding me some clothes for our vacation and our trip to Texas next month. I've seen the Old Navy commercials with the women dancing around in those long maxi-dress (which makes me just think maxi-pad) and I knew they had some at Target. I grabbed six of them in various sizes and tried them on in the extremely red-colored and mirrored dressing room. I told Mike afterwards that you learn a lot about yourself when you have to view yourself from six different angles. Anyway, the maxi dress is not made for someone as "shorty-pants" (as my husband would say) as me.

The fabric all but swallowed me up and was still too long. I am thankful that Mike's mom is always at the ready to help me with hemming dresses, etc., but she would have to take at least 6 inches of fabric off the bottom AND the top for that matter to get it to fit normally on me.

Today we are going to keep looking for clothes when Mike gets home from work. Wish me luck! And wish me luck to as I summon up the courage to participate in What I Wore Wednesdays :)
