Meeting Santa
I don't really know where we stand on Santa. We are neutral. Our kids don't process things typically - so Grayson is already not super excited about Christmas, and he probably won't open any of his gifts. The last few years, we had to open them for him. And Easton loves all things Christmas - but NOT CHRISTMAS MUSIC. He can sing Jingle Bells himself but he doesn't want to hear anyone else sing about Christmas.
Easton's obsession this year? Christmas inflatables. Give him all the youtube videos of people going to stores to check out inflatables, and he will watch them dozens of times. He asks to go to Lowe's multiple times a day. And when we do take him to Lowe's to see the inflatables, he walks in and gasps in pure joy, and then shouts "Dun du du DUHHHHHH" in announcement. Then he will tell anyone he can find that they did a good job with the Christmas inflatables.
He stopped a Lowe's employee a few trips ago and told him just that, and the employee seemed taken aback - like he was going to cry. Then he said to me, "That's what Christmas is all about." That's our Easton - spreading his sweet quirkiness all over the place!
So our local ARC group that we are somewhat involved in and really adore the people in the group, held a Sensory Santa event. The gifts were handpicked for each child. You will laugh when you see what Easton got :) A husband wife team dressed up as Santa and Mrs Claus - and they were great! They are a sweet couple. :)
The boys and I went last year. This year we all went - Mike and Jovie included. We couldn't stay long because Grayson dialed into the bowls of frosting and wanted to eat the entire thing.
