So many inflatables.
Some back story on the inflatables. Easton is obsessed with them. We aren't sure when his love for them came to be - but was probably sparked by something he saw while watching Youtube! He is ecstatic about them - watching the same videos over and over, memorizing the scripts, talking about them constantly, asking to go to Lowe's, Menards and Home Depot. He wants to go for drives where he can see the inflatables. Even the other day a friend of ours took our kids for a drive so Mike and I could attend a meeting, and Easton gave her turn by turn directions on how to see the best inflatables in town.
It makes him SO happy. But like too much of a good thing, it can leave him miserable, obsessive and inconsolable. Thanks a lot, autism. *sigh*
So with that being said, it's been very difficult to strike that delicate balance of what makes him happy and what puts him over the edge. This year, we probably crossed that line about six times too many.

| This is the "BIBLE INFLATABLE" as Easton calls it. We bought a Nordictrack treadmill, and the guys delivering it and putting it together heard all about the birth of Jesus because of Easton going on and on about the Bible inflatable. So some good has come out of it. |
 |
| This is Lily - Easton named her after his friend from school. |
 |
| Mike dropped Jovie and me of at Hobby Lobby (or Hobbely Wobbely as Easton calls it) and took the boys to Lowe's. When he picked me up, he said, "Easton, tell Mommy what you got." Easton shrieked in complete joy, "A PENGUIN." |
 |
| A cow. Compliments of his cattle raising grandparents. |
 |
| I think Santa was our first purchased this year. |
 |
| And finally - a snowman. |
Um make that seven times too many, because Easton is not interested in toys this year. So we got him an Elf on the Shelf inflatable for Christmas. He likes that one and the "snowman and the snowman and the penguin and the penguin and the polar bear" singing together which is no longer manufactured. I checked.
So there you go. The things we do for our children. I can't bear to put them outside - that's just more things I have to worry about - so they are now in our house. Three in his room and three downstairs. And yes, they do in fact sound like a jet engine with their fans all blowing at once. And yes, the white noise is TOO MUCH and I can't take it and sometimes when Easton is not here, I shut everything off and enjoy the sound of silence!
