Baby Jovie is HERE! I never thought we would make it - I thought I would be pregnant forever and a day, but here we are. She is sleeping peacefully in her bassinet, despite the loud noises her oldest brother is making as he runs in and out of the room.

I don't have any pictures uploaded to the computer of her but I will tell you this child had erratic heartbeats on Monday at my last monitoring session but was born Thursday with a perfectly in sync heartbeat! Pretty awesome :)

The week leading up to her birth was just chaos. I'll do a post later about her actual birthday.

One week before Jovie's birth, Easton knocked my big toenail loose on my right foot. I had stubbed it pretty terribly a couple times a few months ago but didn't really think much about it. But since it was hurting, I tried to get in to see my doctor but she didn't have any openings but she was working at Urgent Care at the hospital - so I headed there to see her. Guess what? Having a messed up toenail is apparently a pretty big deal when you are scheduled for major surgery. I was put on an antibiotic and scheduled to see a podiatrist the Monday before my csection.

The next night we had a showing at our house. We went to dinner at my parents and my boys were playing hard - like - crazy too hard. Grayson ended up swinging Easton into a chair and he landed mouth first on the rungs. He bit through his bottom lip. He bled EVERYWHERE. Mike and I rushed him back to Urgent Care - second night in a row for me - and he required three stitches. It was terrible. They had to put him in a papoose and Mike sent me out of the room where I then cried because Easton screamed the entire time and I could hear him.

But even in his discomfort, Easton made me smile with his endless questions, "Are you a doctor? What is he doing?" etc. etc.

It was terrible!!! I suppose it was a rite of passage for us and for him, but oh my.

So that was the week leading up to Jovie's birth :)
