Easton | 21 Months
Me: *sings the ABC song and stops at K*
Easton: L-moh-moh-moh-P!
Me: Close enough.
This exchange occurs roughly twelve times a day. Easton is getting that alphabet down! He knows many of the letters - and can "usually" point them out when you show them to you. He really likes the letter X - and he pronounces it "ECK." I don't ever want to forget how he says that. It's too cute. He often sings his version of the ABC song in the car :) He loves to bring his magnet letters to anyone who is willing to play along and then tell you what the letters are. He is somewhat accurate with this game.
He can also count to 10 but the two syllables in seven throw him off a bit. He especially loves to say "Eight, NINE, TENNNNNN."
He makes the BEST dinosaur sounds. When he plays with his dinosaur toys, he makes them roar. He turned an etch-a-sketch into a car, and a bear into a dog - making the bear walk on four legs and bark. When he sees a dog on TV, he barks at it. :) His imagination is taking off.

He waves at me throughout the day and says, "Hi Mama." He points at Mike (or random men around Mike's age and build - that's not embarrassing at all) and says, "DA!" Then points to me, "Mamamama."
His favorite thing right now is Thomas the Tank Engine. He loves to eat chips. Today Grayson brought me the bag of chips and said "CHIP" and then Easton piped in with "CHIP CHIP" doing they hand sign for more. :)
I recently talked to his play group teacher, and he will be starting that program in the summer. It's the same program Grayson did but he will be enrolled as "typical" student. I think it will really do him a world of good with interacting with people. As it stands now, he mirrors a lot of what Grayson does.
One thing that is concerning - when Easton gets angry, he bangs his head on things. We have already had his ears checked out, and that's not the culprit. So I have been working on getting him to stop doing that. As a result he has bruises on his forehead that just make me cringe. He is also biting. He got Grayson on the arm the one day, and it left a terrible bruise. I hope that is a short phase.
I think on a whole his tantrums have been better this month. Sometimes we go days without them!
He knows how to take his diaper off with ease and has been known to casually walk around diaper-less like its no big deal.
Easton is our early riser, so when Grayson joins us for the day, Easton runs at him full force, squealing! He certainly adores his older brother.
He has been sleeping better on a whole - I might have just jinxed us. If he falls asleep at 11 am, it's usually a short nap and he doesn't sleep again for the rest of the day. If I can get him to hold off until 1 pm, I can put both boys down for a nap, and they both sleep for two hours! It doesn't happen often but when it does...it's magical. :)
Easton is wearing 24 - 2T clothes. He is still a CHUNK! In fact, he is starting to wear Size 6 diapers - the same size as Grayson - just crazy :)
Easton, we are CRAZY about you. You get cuter and cuter every single day, and we are not sure how that happens because you were completely adorable to begin with. You have such a great smile, and I wish everyone had your sunny disposition. WE LOVE YOU.
