Easton | 1 YEAR ?!?!

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.

How can my baby be one year old.

I need a minute.

I have no words.

Okay that is not true. I have many many words to share about Easton.

Not unlike his brother, he has various nicknames all given to him by his father mostly. ;) Such as: Squeebs. Squeebedebeep. Easty. Easty-bay. Squeeblet. Squeebles. Easty-beasty-boy. E-baby. East. Sometimes I slip up and call him Easton Michael even though that isn't his middle name.

The terms of endearment situation in this family has gotten a little out of hand. I will admit it.

At one year old, Easton continues to be hilarious. He has the motions to "SO BIG" down to a science. He often holds his hands up in the air like he is praising the Lord, which I just love so much. Sometimes he will just lift one hand in the air, and I adore it.

He waves hello and goodbye. He can easily give you a high-five. He also says "hi" on occasion. One other thing...he says "Achoo" in response to a pretend sneeze. It is possibly the cutest thing ever.

He is a face hugger. He wants to kiss your face all over the place and all the time while pulling on your nose, your earrings, your ears, your hair, your glasses. He gets right up in the face, and I worry for future girlfriends. He does this while squealing gleefully.

He has abandoned the army crawl and is now on all fours. He is getting steadier on his feet, and he just wants to walk so badly. I think he still has a ways to go before he is walking however.

He despises when something is taken away from him, and he collapses to the floor in a flood of tears.

He loves his taggy blanket. He now has four little blankets to his collection, and he loves them equally.

He has three teeth along the bottom. Such a weird sequence to come in but that is how he rolls. And surprisingly not a lot of drooling or crankiness. Maybe that is because he is older.

One thing that I am legitimately worried about is that he chokes on food. The other day he choked on Puffs and then on his birthday cake. My heart cannot handle it. He did this about two months ago, so we eased back on the puffs until just this month again and he had been doing pretty well...up until the other day. He has always put every little thing in his mouth, and that is something we have been battling here - the war of crumb trails left by a toddler. My vacuum cleaner is getting a workout. The choking will be addressed with his doctor next week at his well check.

Easton loves his brother, and he now picks on him which I think is hilarious. Grayson deserves it - seriously. I am honestly surprised that Easton still has eyes with the amount of times Grayson has poked them!

We are in the process of weaning him off the bottle and formula and getting him to milk and a cup. It's been going pretty well, I think. Considering we are just a few days in anyway.

He has a bit of a nap schedule down. He will nap in the morning and then in the afternoon - IN HIS CRIB!! AT THE SAME TIME AS HIS BROTHER! It only took like a year but let's be honest, this won't last long so I am enjoying it immensely. He is still not sleeping through the night - often getting up twice to eat - and then he goes right back to sleep so I am thankful for that. I think he is way too old to still be getting up in the middle of the night. I am hoping incorporating more milk and food in his diet will end those middle of the night feedings.

Time to get into that convertible carseat! No more of this baby carrier! My arms can't take it.

Easton, we love you so much! You are such a sweet kid. We can't see what God has planned for you!
