Easton | 11 Months
As Easton's 11th month approaches, he is proving to be just as ornery - if not more so - than his older brother.
I did not think that was even possible, but apparently it is.
Easton is such a smiley, sweet, joyful and cheerful little boy. He is very laid-back which as I have said before perfectly suits our family! He has an amazing dimpled smile. We are pretty crazy about him!
He is clapping when we ask him to or when he sees us clap. His newest thing is to play the toy piano at my parents house and then clap after he is done playing, while looking at us to see if we are clapping too.
He has been known to wave when I do and say, "Hi Dada" but he isn't very consistent about it.
Easton is high drama. If something is taken away from him or if I even tell him no, he crumples to the floor in tears. However, he is pretty tough when it come to his older brother who often bullies him. I think the tables will turn when Easton is walking and can fight back as need be.
Finally finally the boy has a TOOTH! I thought we would be making it to his one year birthday and beyond before seeing a tooth, but lo and behold the teething process has finally started for him! ;)
He can put toys in and out of a basket - he thinks it is a really fun game. He thinks everything we are doing is absolutely hysterical and giggles all the time.
Easton also learned to drink from a straw this month!
He also had some cheese for the first time and has made the transition to Step 2 foods. We are slow going with the foods because he is prone to choking :(
I have been putting Grayson and Easton down for naps at the same time, and it has *mostly* been successful! Easton is now napping in his crib and sometimes sleeps up to a couple hours. Usually I just have to put him in his crib awake, and he can put himself to sleep!
He has come a long way in just the last few weeks. He is sleeping through the night more and more often, but there are still plenty of nights he and I are awake in the early hours.
We love our little guy SO much. I can't get over how stinking cute he is. Mike and I are so blessed by our sweet boys.

I have a hard time believing that he will be 1 year old next month. I don't really want time to turn back though. The past year has been incredibly hard for me, though it has also had some crazy wonderful moments too. Being a mom to two 2 years old and under has been a huge challenge, one bigger than I ever could have anticipated.
I am so looking forward to celebrating his first birthday because that means that we made it through the first year! ;)

This month, Easton has changed by leaps and bounds. He is pulling himself up on furniture now. He is learning to climb the stairs. I guess we better get the baby gate back out! The other day he climbed up 5 steps before he got stuck.
