Easton | 10 Months
Easton is 10 months old! This past month really flew by quickly. Why is it the spring, summer and fall months go by so quickly but the winter months drag on forever?!
There is just something exceptionally cute about my Easton. He is adorable. Like if you looked up the definition of adorable, his picture would be there. He is my little Gerber baby.
This month has been a big month for our boy. He had his first trip to Urgent Care for a stomach bug. That was no fun :(
He is now clapping his hands at everything. At first he was just banging his fists together until I told him to watch me, then I opened my hands up and clapped. Then he started to clap too! That he is mimicking us is pretty exciting! And also its pretty awesome to walk into a room to the sound of applause ;)
He has been doing this for awhile now but I never mentioned it - he prefers to hold his own bottle. I can now just leave him on the floor or in his chair and he will drink his bottle with no qualms. I love it but sometimes I just hold him because I want to.
He is a cuddlebug. He prefers to be held all the time.
He has zero teeth, my friends. Not a one. He chews and drools all the time, and each day I hope to see a tooth poking through but he's got nothing. He is still on Step 1 food as a result. We have given him some puffs here and there, and he always manages to choke on one of them which freaks me out so bad. So we are taking a break from those. Maybe next month he can try them again.
Speaking of choking, he got a hold of one of Gray's felt pompoms as my mom and I were moving furniture around the other day - it was one we had missed while we were cleaning them up - and he proceeded to put that in his mouth - like everything else - and it scared the living daylights out of me when he started to choke. I picked him up and out it came. Scariest thing EVER.
This child just loves to put things in his mouth. It might be my undoing.
We have been working on him waving lately. Today we were in the kitchen and I waved at Mike and said, "Hi Dada!" And Easton waved his arm in the air and said, "Dadadadadadada!" Be still my heart. I was so proud of him :)
He babbles quite a bit. And he is still army-crawling. :)
He is starting to pull himself up on to things. The other day he pulled himself up on the trampoline.
Bed time is around 9:30 every night. He doesn't usually sleep through the night, but sometimes he surprises me. He almost always pees through his diaper and his pajamas and crib sheet every single night. And yes he is in the next step up diaper because I know some of you will ask :)
His naps are getting more consistent as far as times go but duration is still only about 20 minutes or so. Unless we are in the car, then he sleeps quite a bit.
What else. What else. What else.
I think that is it...And now time for pictures!
Easton, you are such a joy. Your daddy and I are over the moon for you. You have such a great giggle, and your smile is heaven. Your laid back personality fits in so well with the crazy of our every day. I believe you have big things in store for you as you grow up. I am not sure what, but you are going to touch the lives of many many people - you already do that with everyone who is graced by your smile. We love you!
