Easton | 9 Months

How can it be that my littlest love is 9 months old?!

I still can't wrap my mind around it. He is SO OLD. But still so little - especially in comparison to his older brother who is looking so grown up every single day. Sometimes I feel like he will be a baby forever. Is it weird that I just admitted that? So be it, I guess.

He is 19 lbs and 1 oz and 28.5 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and 75th for height. The nurse practitioner that is filling in for his pediatrician said that Easton should be on a cover of a magazine. What do you think?

I have to agree of course :)

Easton loves to snuggle. He will sit on anyone's lap quite happily. He has zero stranger danger. He loves to be nuzzled and kissed, and his giggle is still heaven on earth to this weary mommy's ears.

He is crawling everywhere. He can now make it out into the kitchen which just adds to my frustration level because despite constant efforts, I cannot keep my kitchen floor clean.

He got up on his knees the other day and held on to a laundry basket, then laughed hysterically because it was really the funniest thing ever.

Teeth count is at a big fat zero. Hopefully they are coming because he is chewing and drooling all the time. The doctor said if she had to guess, he will have them coming in in a month's time.

He was crawling across the floor the other day, and I said, "Hi, Easton!" He looked at me and said, "Hi!" in response! I am counting that as his first word, though that might have been a fluke. We are working on how to wave, but again that might have just been a fluke too.

Easton sings along to the radio in the car. Very softly - almost under his breath.

He still finds Grayson to be hilarious.

He has a pretty bad temper - especially if something is taken away from him.

However. He will out right laugh at me when I tell him no. Such a stinker!

He still doesn't nap very often. And he only wants to nap while being held. And we have had more nights of him not sleeping very much. I thought maybe we were getting into a good pattern of sleep, but maybe I got cocky ;) The last three nights he has slept through the night, but I am not expecting that to last.

In the bath, he likes to kick his legs in the water. We have tried bath time with Grayson, but Gray is reluctant to share any part of that experience with Easton.

He likes his pacifier, but it is not his favorite thing ever and he often falls asleep without it.

He has a very sunny and sweet personality. He is all smiles most of the time, and he has been pretty easy to read - I know his signs for when he is hungry, tired or needs a diaper change.

So basically, he is the best. We are so thankful for him and all the laughter and joy he brings to our family.

We love you, Easton!
