Easton | 5 Months
When I was pregnant with Easton, I often wondered (okay okay...fretted) about how things were going to be with two kids under the age of two. I could barely handle my one year old at the time, but to deal with two littles?! I just knew I was going to be way over my head.
And guess what. I am way over my head.
But I love it. Easton is such an awesome addition to our family. He has such an amazing giggle, and this great little cackle that is reserved for grandmas, diaper changing and Grayson.
Easton loves Grayson. He thinks he is hilarious. He watches him like a hawk, and he is just so pleased and excited when Grayson pays even the tiniest bit of attention to him. It warms my heart! I love to see my kids interacting with each other.
His laugh is something I hope I never forget. It is the purest, most innocent sound. I really cannot put it into words. And his smile. And his sweet dimple. I just can't even. :)
So what is he up to this month?
Easton can sit up by himself sometimes. Usually he topples over after not too long.
He is eating cereal like a champ.
Bath time is so fun for him. He laughs the entire time!
He likes to be on his belly but then seems to forget that he can flip to his back.
We broke out the jumperoo. The first time he liked it a lot, any subsequent time in the jumperoo has brought a lot of tears, but I think he will get used to it.
He has become increasingly irritable in the evenings. I am still trying to figure out why that is. I have noticed that he needs a small cat nap in the evening and that is sometimes his way of telling me. It always seems to fall just around the time I put Grayson to bed.
He is still sleeping in his rock and play next to our bed, but he has begun to try and flip to his belly in it and he is getting pretty long for it - so I think we will be moving him into his crib very soon.
He is a big fan of Mommy. I am not really sure what to think about this since Mike is the preferred parent in our household. When Easton sees me, he gets so excited and just kicks his legs and waves his arms.
Like his cousin Laurenne, Easton is a face toucher. He loves to have his hand on my face. Or in my hair. Unfortunately both of my kids are hair pullers :( Ugh. He reaches for everything. He is so curious!
God knew what he was doing by placing Easton in our lives at this point in time. We are so thankful for him!
(Sorry - no pictures at this point - I am typing this on Mike's computer over naptime and I don't have any new pictures handy. Trust me. He is super cute ;) )
