Easton | 8 Weeks

Today our sweet E turns eight weeks old! I am not sure how that can be, but it is. It shouldn't surprise you that Easton has about 10 nicknames already - E, E-Bay, E-Baby, Eabes...to name a few.

We are still getting to know him. He has been a bit of a closed book these past weeks, but we are slowly learning his likes, dislikes and little quirks.

For instance:

He loves to be held. I would hold him all day long if I could.

He loves to be rocked or bounced. But he does not like his swing.

He isn't a huge fan of the pacifier still, but I am not giving up!

He is a great traveler. This past weekend, he spent about 15 hours in the car. He did great!

He is not a napper. Unless he is having a growth spurt. It is not unusual for him to be awake all day long.

He consistently falls asleep between 9:30 and 10:30 every night. He sleeps until 4:30-5:00 then gets up to eat.

He eats ALL THE TIME. I am amazed by all he is consuming, and the doctor said not to worry about it unless he spits up a lot. He has yet to do that.

As a result, he pees ALL THE TIME. He goes through so many diapers it is ridiculous. He has been in Size 2 diapers for weeks.

He is starting to SMILE! I haven't been able to catch it on my camera just yet. He usually smiles as he is falling asleep, but I am pretty sure I also have a huge grin on my face as I drift off to sleep ;)

He got beaned in the head by Grayson's snack cup :(

He is becoming something of a fascination to his older brother. Every morning, the first thing Grayson does is run to the basinet and peer over the edge. Unfortunately, Grayson has no concept of personal space. Already Easton has been rapped on the head, poked in the eye more times than I can count, had Grayson's fingers in his mouth after Grayson played in the dog's water bowl and had Grayson's feet in his face. The poor kid!

He goes to the doctor next week for his two month check up! I weighed him the other night here at home and he was 12 lbs! We will see what the official number is then.

It is amazing that I carried this boy for 39 weeks and I still know so little about him. I am excited for the days ahead as his personality continues to blossom.
