Grayson | 14 Months
In a few days, Grayson will be 14 months old!
His favorite things this past month have been:
- Daddy.
- Running around the house, calling for Daddy.
- Conversing with Daddy in the kitchen while he cooks.
- Crying when Daddy leaves the room.
- Crying when Mommy picks him up because he wants Daddy.
(...seeing a pattern here?)
- Throwing his pacifier(s) in Mommy's rain boots. (I found three one day.) They sit on our stairs and he always makes a quick pit stop to toss in his pacifier. I don't get it, but I think it is hilarious.
- Burping and then laughing hysterically. (Such a boy.)
- Playing with trains.
- Wrestling with Daisy. (She is not a fan.)
- Climbing all over Mommy and pulling her hair. (Mommy is not a fan.)
- Bath time. Extra Bonus: Daddy is in charge of bath time! Lots of splashing, giggling and pruny little baby feet. (Getting out of the bath however is quite traumatic...of course that is Mommy's responsibility.)
- Cultivating his pacifier obsession. (One in each hand and one in his mouth, please and thank you.)
Cuddling. We have a big cuddle fan on our hands. I love it because he will want up, then will cubby down and snuggle in for an entire episode of Veggie Tales. That time is golden.
Other things:
He has stranger danger again. Even the people he knows best he sometimes fusses at. Myself included.

I have him weaned down to three bottles a day. He is eating more and more table food. Tonight he had pancakes and apple sauce for dinner. Last night he had potato soup, which he LOVED.
Mike and I think he is hilarious. He has the best sense of humor and laughs at himself all the time. That doesn't mean he doesn't get frustrated - because he does - sometimes rather easily which is probably something he got from me. And it doesn't mean that he only has good days. Quite the contrary.
He has been sleeping through the night - with a rough night here or there. He is getting those one year molars and it is hard to even tell how many teeth he has coming in because he is prone to biting. (I learned that the hard way.)
We finally moved him to a bigger car seat. He likes looking out the window, and he coos along with the radio. It is much easier to get him in and out of, and I like that I don't have to lug that old car seat around - I get a short break from it :)
That about sums it up.

So basically, he is the best.
