Grayson | 11 Months
Gray-Baby turns 11 months this week.
It has been a month chalk full of adjusting to new schedules, visiting with family, play dates with friends and spending time together as our little family of three.
At the end of September my aunt Tami and cousin Tessa came in to town for a little visit. It was so wonderful to see them! I loved introducing Grayson to them!
A couple weekends ago, Grayson spent a good amount of time with Uncle Rich, Uncle Doug, Aunt Kristi and Cousin Derek. We definitely missed Aunt Natty at this family get together but we will see her in the spring! Grayson loved playing with his cousin (who is 6 months old) - specifically smacking him in the face and stealing his toys from him.
A few other things about our Gray-Baby:
- He now laughs when you laugh. He thinks everything is hysterical. Drinking water from a glass? Making faces at him? He will dissolve into giggles.
- He loves playing with Daddy, especially being tossed into the air much higher than I would like.
- He has four teeth across the bottom now. That seems to me as though they came in out of order. Oh well. At least he has them now! I found the teething experience for these latest two teeth was much less dramatic than the first four.
- He has been going to bed consistently at 8:30 every night. He sleeps until 8 on good days and 6:15 on not-so-good days. (Today was a not-so-good day.) He rarely wakes up in the middle of the night now.
- Nap time is in the morning and the afternoon. No set hours - just whenever he falls asleep - I am happy!
- He hangs out with my mom during the week and on Sunday mornings (with my dad too!) while I am at the church. Right now he comes to church at 8:30 with Mike and his grandpa and grandma Smith. I try to sneak in to the service if at all possible. Then on Sunday nights, until November anyway, he hangs out with Mike while I am away for our Sunday night kids program.
- Tantrums. His newest thing is to lay on the floor with his face buried in the carpet and scream at the top of his lungs. He seems too young to be having tantrums, but if he inherited my temper it is entirely possible that he is exhibiting some signs of that.
- He is talking a lot but not saying a lot of words. Lots of Ma-Ma, Da-da and Gi-gi. The other day Mike and I swore he said, "Hello, Daddy!"
- He has a meltdown just about every time you change his clothes. Or his diaper. This is something we have been struggling with for months.
- He make this goofy little growling noise when he is playing. It makes us laugh!
