Disaster Area Series

Between Mike working lots of overtime, and Grayson cutting two new teeth, my life has been pretty much a disaster area.

Much like my house.

Usually I don't really care all that much. I get this awesome privilege of staying home with my son, and I will gladly play with him instead of unloading the dishwasher. If I can get the kitchen clean and a load of laundry done each day, I am a happy camper.

But this week? The house has gotten WAY out of hand. Not only did nothing get clean, but I rarely showered and my neighbors - and most everybody - saw me more than once outside in my PJs and crazy hair and glasses - in the afternoon - letting the dog out. Oh the joys of living on one of the busiest roads in town.

I feel like this past week I was in survival mode. Like I had reached the point of no return.

To me it just showed me one thing.

That I NEED to refine my schedule. That I NEED to make this household run smoother. And MAN do we have clutter.

Okay. Well that is three things.

But you know what - this takes time, and energy. I have little of either. Unless I put some time down on my calendar, this will never get done.

Sidenote: I told Mike the other day that I have never been so busy in my life. I thought for sure - based on what I had heard - that staying at home would be the most boring thing ever. Oh my word. That could not be more wrong. It can be lonely - but that is different than being bored. But my schedule fills up fast, and honestly - I love it so much!

Anyway, so I am going to work to refine my schedule and make my household run smoother - and I plan to document it all here on the ol' blog. Because why not? I might as well. At least I can keep myself accountable this way.
