Date Day!

One of the perks of Mike's weekend being in the middle of the traditional week is that we can go just about anywhere on his time off and not have to deal with crowds.

It's pretty awesome.

Yesterday was one of those days. We went to Cbus and spent most of the afternoon in Easton. We used to live just minutes from Easton, and we were there several times a week. We loved it! Now that we are an hour and a half away, we miss it! We hadn't been there in months - and my, has it changed!

There was a new parking garage in my favorite parking lot. It is probably one of the nicest garages I have ever been in.
It had a light system above each parking stall - green if the stall was open, red if it wasn't.
No more having to go up and down each aisle in order to find a parking spot.

My old company where I worked pre-Grayson did the engineering for this garage.
I was curious...why on earth did I have to walk up steps to go down steps to get to our level? ;) I am curious to the reasoning behind that or did someone screw up on the CAD drawings? Haha! I am kidding kidding. :)
Heaven knows we didn't ride the elevator - mostly because it didn't seem to be working and because of my even greater of fear of them after getting stuck at the one at my grandparents' apartment complex.

A new fountain.
We ate on the sidewalk at Bon Vie. Amazing.

Very good hamburger and french fries. But not as good as the last time I was there.
Still a good meal though.

Hanging out by the fountains. I was WAY too warm with that denim jacket on.
It looked cute though.
Thanks, Mom, for letting me borrow it :)

Of course we stopped at our favorite custard place.
When I was pregnant with Grayson, I went there multiple times a week for milkshakes. Large ones.
However I got a small and it took me 45 minutes to get through it.
Way too rich for me now - but so good.

My mom watched Grayson for us. When we got home, I asked her to take a family picture :)

I need to cut my hair! This is actually the shortest layer - the longest layer was behind my shoulders.
Kind of like a mullet.
I am not sure what to do with it. It is the longest it has ever been.
And it is Grayson's favorite thing ever to grab a fistful of hair and pull.

We also went to the new Cabela's in Polaris. I thought it was funny to see how many businessmen were there...they definitely outnumbered the outdoorsy looking folks. I wonder if they didn't have a conference there or something. They seemed a little out of their element.

We had such a great time! So thankful that we go to spend the afternoon together to recharge and relax. Heaven knows we needed it :)
