Things you need to know if we are going to be BFFs...

I was reading the blogger Little Miss Momma and she wrote a post about "Things you need to know if we are going to be BFFs..." - I thought that was such a neat prompt, and that I would give it a try.

Also I am waiting up for Mike to call me since he works until 2 am - and the baby has been asleep for hours. I am finding myself with a little free time.

I really should be doing laundry. Oh well.

Ahem.

I love Pepsi fountain soda. I will drink it in a can, but I prefer it in fountain soda form. I have been known to consider a Pepsi poured over crushed ice as dessert. (FYI - I have actually stopped drinking soda so just typing this out as been a little bit of torture for me!) :)

Mike and I got married in the middle of a hurricane.

I do not like Velveeta cheese. Or Hamburger Helper. Much to Mike's chagrin. Sometimes I make those meals just for him, and he LOVES it.

I broke my bottled water habit when we moved from Cbus. Haven't purchased it in months. I love that our fridge has a filter and water dispenser :)

I am a loner. If I could be a hermit, I think I would be. I have been really pushing myself not to be that way.

I am the co-coordinator for my church's VBS program this summer. This is my first year helping out. I am really excited about it, and I have had a lot of fun with it! I miss aspects of my pre-Grayson job, and what I miss I get to do some of through volunteering. It is a good fit for me.

Grayson was a BIG surprise :)

The older I get the more of a vegetarian I become. I still eat meat - but just not a lot of it. I don't often cook with meat. I do love a good hamburger every now and again.

I am the youngest of two children. My brother is two years older than me.

I used to be (and still am a little bit) afraid of automatic flush toilets. And just toilets in general actually.

My grandpa Emery and I were very close. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him.

When I eat at a restaurant, I always get the same exact thing.

I only like Hidden Valley Ranch dressing. And sometimes blue cheese dressing at restaurants. I am starting to like Italian dressing a little more and more :)

I have always wished for a sister! Now I have sisters-in-law! And two of my cousins - Jennifer and Julie - I consider them more like sisters than cousins.

My brother once convinced me that aliens existed - and he went to great pains in doing so by setting up a fake UFO made out of my mom's mixing bowls covered in tin foil in our sandbox. He even made little alien footprints. It was a prank of epic proportions - probably the best one ever. (And no this was not just last year...;) )

I have never been able to learn how to play euchre.

I do know how to drive a stick shift and would do it if I have to, but it freaks me out. Mike and I had a MINI Cooper for a few years that I never drove because it scared the living daylights out of me.

Mike was my first real boyfriend. He is my very best friend and the love of my life. No one makes me laugh harder than him, and he is hot. :)

I have been battling with my weight for years now. I am just now getting a handle on it, and I am making some improvements. :) I don't really like to talk about it - so its a big deal that I am even mentioning it here. And by mentioning it is not a call for advice, by the way :) I mean that in the nicest way possible. (More on that later.)

My apartment got broken into when I was in college while I was there, and I have not really been the same since.

I get very upset when people criticize or make fun of law enforcement.

As a teenager - and an adult really - I have never done anything crazy or really that irresponsible. Sometimes I wish I would - just to see what it is like. (Within reason of course.)

I am a car snob. This is something that God has been working on my heart about lately in a very big way.

I prefer not to wear socks.

Until I married Mike, I never bought anything in generic form. I have since learned that generic Kroger food is just as good as name brand. Generic Walmart and Meijer though - that's another story.

My favorite places in the world are Johnstown, PA and Lakeside, OH. Marblehead is right up there too.

I miss my anonymous life in Cbus sometimes, but I have been blessed beyond measure since moving home. I have met so many wonderful people, made new friends and rekindled old friendships. Life is good.

Okay I think that is enough for now. Off to do that laundry...
