Insta-Friday!

I know, I know. I've fallen off the radar as far as blogging goes. But any extra time I have had in the last couple of weeks has been devoted to other things...like grabbing a quick nap, spending time with Mike or actually getting to dry my hair (a luxury any more!)

Believe it or not, but it often takes me several days to compose a post. I work on it probably 5 minutes at a time - sometimes more if Grayson is contentedly laying in his crib, gnawing away on his favorite teething toy - a giraffe - that makes an appearance several times in this post! ;)

Mike and I hosted Easter dinner for our parents the Thursday after dinner. (Oh the life of a LEO family!)
I love love love my Fiestaware (this is only a third of the plates I own...I have nearly every color.)

I came home from the store one day to find Grayson helping Grandma sweep.

I follow Jon Acuff (author of the blog Stuff Christians Like) on Instagram.
 He is HILARIOUS.
The little vignette I created on our front porch. I really want an outdoor rug.
This was BEFORE a huge storm swept in and blew the furniture off the porch.
Surprisingly that planter didn't break.

After not having any dreams for YEARS (seriously), lately I have been dreaming A LOT. If I remember, I grab my phone and type a note about it - this one was typed at about 3 am which explains the random capitalization. I also realized the connection between dream world and not-dream world :)
And they are really weird dreams that include old neighbors, our old house but not in our old neighborhood,
an apartment complex that we didn't live at in Cleveland, daughters of friends that only have boys. And apparently an Amish man and his daughter taking care of a rich man's giraffe. Which would be a good premise for a children's book, don't you think?

My sweet baby.

Grayson and I love to sit on the front porch on nice days :)

Silvie and Sophie are getting used to Grayson.

My cute parents.

I HAD to buy this sign at our last trip to a local gun store.
Only it was an impulse buy and I don't have a great place to put it.
So here it sits on my buffet in the hall. With Grayson's giraffe because why not?

Another day sitting on the porch! I can't believe I am about to write this...
but I actually love living here. I love our house, our street - despite the train noise and semi traffic! :) and
seeing people I know everywhere I go. My anonymous life in Cbus is just a memory now.
