Grayson | 12 Weeks
On Sunday at 3:02 AM, Grayson turns 12 weeks old. Many weeks at 3:02 on Sunday mornings, I have been awake with Grayson. In those early morning hours, I often tell him about his birthday, but the significance is lost on him ;)
At Grayson's last doctor's appointment he tipped the scales at 9 lbs 12.4 oz. That is about 1.5 lb gain from last month. He grew in length - he is now 22 3/4".
He is now mostly wearing 3 to 6 month clothes...mostly 6 months because he is so long! Still a skinny little fella though.
He had his two-month vaccines, which were a little traumatic! It wasn't even getting the shots - he did great and barely cried. It was the aftermath, the fever, a stupid thermometer (our second one that doesn't work), my inability to figure out the temp when its taken axillary, etc. We learned that he loves bubble gum flavored infant Tylenol :) We got through it and now I know what to expect for the next round.
He is starting to learn that when he cries, he gets Mommy's attention! So often I've hurried to his side to see why he is upset, only to be rewarded with a huge smile!
He giggles when he falls asleep. An actual giggle that he hasn't yet mastered yet when he is awake. When he laughs, he opens his mouth up wide and makes a little cackling noise. So hilarious. And adorable.
He loves to flap his arms and move his legs.
He is starting to reach for toys, but hasn't mastered that yet. Sometimes it is hit or miss :)
He now lays his head against my shoulder when I am holding him.
He knows Mike. He especially loves when Mike is on speakerphone with me. He gets real quiet and listens. We have a picture of Mike in his room, and when we are there I tell him about how his daddy is out catching bad guys. :)
He definitely knows me. I told him that outside of his father, he is the only person who has wanted to spend all this time with me! I have never felt so popular!
His head control gets better every day! I do not miss the days where he could not hold his head up! :)
