A Birthday

I was sitting at the dining room table tonight, trying to decide what to write about for today. I have so much to say but the timing is all wrong. I looked up and saw this card pressed against the glass in my little china cabinet. I broke out into a smile and instantly retrieved it. I read over the note, taking in the sweet words written in such lovely handwriting. I was just thinking of my grandma Wissinger today. I think about her a lot over the holidays - but today especially because it is her birthday. She would have been 92 years old. My heart still aches when I think about her - even though she has been gone for so many years. She was a good woman, kind and thoughtful. And crafty. She could whip up a crocheted Christmas ornament in no time. She had such a neat laugh. I wish she had met Mike. I think they would have gotten along quite well together. She is very dearly missed <3
