Two weeks ago, in the midst of my rough week, two very awesome things happened. I can't believe I didn't touch on that in my last post - too all-consumed with myself. I have been so self-absorbed lately, and I am really seeing that for what it is right now :-/ Anyway!
My friends Heather and Mindy both had baby girls within a day of each other!!
Mike and I stayed for a few days off and on taking care of Matt and Heather's boys (ages 2 and 4) while they were at the hospital welcoming their new little girl into the world :) Just hours after the baby was born, I went to the hospital to meet the baby. It was so fun watching the boys get introduced to their little sister. I just stood back with tears in my eyes as I watched them give her kisses and ask the cutest questions about her. Totally melted my heart :) Then I got to to hold her which was really amazing - like the best feeling ever! So fun :)
Then on Saturday I heard from Mindy that she was in labor. On Sunday she and Drew had their first child - another little girl! I haven't gotten to meet her yet, but SOON I hope! I get picture updates a few times a week so it's almost like I am there. I still wish we lived close!

Yea for babies! Boy babies are fun, but there is something really special about little girls (espcially after having boys...lol) anyways - I totally hear you about being self centered lately. I've been feeling the same way about myself. When i'm talking w/ people, i find myself always talking about myself and forgetting to ask people about themselves. ;)
