Mike and I went to the Parade of Homes yesterday in a ritzy part of town. My boss gave us two VIP tickets - which we learned where VIP in name alone - no special privileges, but we got to go for free - so that was pretty great!

For three hours we wandered through eight palatial homes. Amazing. One house had floors made from reclaimed barn siding collected from all over the county. Several of the houses had showers that could hold 15 people. Many of them had secret nooks - some of them accessible by ladder, a door in the wall or a spiral staircase. It was really amazing, but it was hard for us to fathom ever having that much money - and believe me - there were some serious buyers there.

Just a neat experience! I hope he offers us tickets to attend next year :)
