I turned another year older since my last post. Here I am at the ripe old age of 28. I had an amazing birthday - truly one of the best. Mike surprised me with a beautiful Paloma Picasso ring from Tiffany's. I was so touched by it. It's a circle of different shaped hearts. Gorgeous :)

On my birthday I was in a software development meeting for a good portion of the day, which was pretty amazing. I learned a lot, and I am excited about the changes coming down the pike at work. For lunch, the HR director took a group of us downtown for a luncheon. We saw some very talented kids perform, and it was just a really neat experience.

When I got home that evening, Mike took me to On the Border for dinner. We came back home for ice cream cake. We stood in the kitchen, Mike wrapped his arms around me and sang happy birthday. It was just really sweet. We are truly a family - just the two of us - well...three counting the dog :)

This morning we participated in the Walk for Lupus in honor of my friend Amanda and my uncle. We had a really fun time! Mike went to work, and I have been here sleeping, watching movies and cleaning all day.

My parents are coming into town tomorrow for Mother's Day. I am excited to see them. We are going to church in the morning, then to Cap City for lunch. Then when Mike gets home from work, he and I are driving to Upper.
