After several weeks of chaos, we are finally moved into our new home. The home we almost lost a few times because of MANY problems with Chase Bank's mortgage department. Seriously one of the most frustrating and stressful times of my life in recent history. But that's in the past. Even though our mortgage banker asked us to lie on his customer service survey and tell his boss that he received a 10 out of 10. He also asked us to mark on the survey that he attended the closing (which he did not) so that he could get a bonus. Wow. Just wow. Considering I did most of the work for him...where's my bonus?? I think all this stress had something to do when my doctor diagnosed me with gestational hypertension. Four times last week alone, I was in Labor and Delivery at the hospital where Grayson and I were both being monitored. I had to quit my job earlier than I had anticipated, and I was not able to work out my full two weeks notice. Last week was rough, but this week is bett...
Our house sold. Finally. And I am well into my eighth month of pregnancy. Which separately would be great things, but put them together and you have one tired, weepy, cranky, achy mama-to-be who feels completely helpless. I don't like feeling that way. I have given up trying to nest, because how can one nest when there are boxes everywhere? Add into the fact that we will be homeless (read: living with my parents) for a short while, and that just makes me feel stressed out. I have nothing done for the baby's room. Let's factor in feeling quite huge and people reminding you all the time just how big you look. While we are at it, I'll bring up the crazy swollen feet and ankles that have forced me to wear slippers (yes...slippers) to work. Well they don't look like slippers, but I know they are. I have been avoiding the TOMS website because it just depresses me. Oh yes, and one last thing - missing so much work for appointments with bankers, title agencies a...

Daisy and I are cubbied down on the couch tonight watching The Devil Wears Prada. Well I am watching it, Daisy is snoozing. Mike just left for work, and I have the laundry going. My nesting has kicked in and I decided to wash my curtains tonight. What on earth is up with me? :) Mike and I went to dinner tonight, and when I got home I felt the baby's first round of hiccups :) What a fun feeling that was - though I felt bad for the little guy. I hate the hiccups! I get them so bad they hurt! Anyway, I am about two weeks late with my Insta-Fridays. I guess its Insta-Saturday today :) My coworker had a birthday this week, so another coworker brought in this amazing basket of fruit, vegetables and canned salsa and more goodies than what I can really list. I thought this was so neat :) Daisy has been reluctant to go "potty outside." She hasn't had any accidents in the house, but it is like pulling teeth to get her out the door. The other day I found her...

Insta-Friday

Image
I thought I would participate in my first Insta-Friday, as inspired by Jeannett at  Life Rearranged . My Daisy-Girl aka Schnuboo, Bearbee, Schnudie, Schnubooboo. We have a ton of names for her but she is a great little dog. Just love her to pieces. Though I am a little concerned about the jealousy factor when the baby joins our little family! My mom was selling this vase at the moving sale, so I put some of my red table decor in it. The brown case contains my great-grandmother's silverware. When I was getting ready for a house showing (for my house), I was moving some stuff around and realized that this makes a nice little piece of decor. I decided to keep it :) Baby...I went to the doctor for an ultrasound on Monday because they were concerned Baby's heart was not forming the way it should be. My friend Kelly went with me because Mike was in training. Having her there was such a blessing to me, and it kept me relatively calm. Fortunately Baby is doing just fine. ...
Oh boy. I don't know what my problem is lately, but all I want to do is SLEEP! Either I get sleepy, or I get grumpy. Or sometimes those two collide, and NO ONE wants to be around me. Especially me! But tonight things are going to change. Tonight I am not going to allow myself to nod off into a little pre-sleep before I actually fall asleep. No. Tonight I am going to try and stay wide awake until I head to bed around 10:30. Which is why I am writing. Surely I can't fall asleep while I am writing, right? Well you might be surprised. If what I am writing is boring enough, then it might cause you and me both to pass out. So what's been going on? Oh you know. Absolutely nothing. Despite the grouchiness and the subsequent sleepiness. I realized today that why I am so off-kilter right now is because I miss my husband. I miss him like mad. We get about two or three hours together every night before he leaves for work. It is not nearly enough time. The house is still on ...

Baby, baby can you hear my heart beat :)

Monday was a big day for Mike and me. It was one of many OB appointments, but also the day of the baby's anatomy scan, meaning we would find out the sex of the baby. No big surprise, I was a nervous wreckas we waited for what seemed like years in the waiting room. I would pick up a magazine, flip through it, put it down, pick up my phone, check my email, text my mom, put my phone back in my purse...it was a painful hour of me constantly fidgeting. Meanwhile, my handsome husband sat next to me, calmly reading a magazine and thankfully not making any comment about how anxious I was acting. But its a big deal, right? I have not seen the baby since that very first ultrasound over two months ago, but this child is very much apart of me. Of course I was anxious to see how things were progressing!  So finally my name was called, and I walked back on shaky legs to the ultrasound room, with Mike in tow. I sat down on the table, and he sat in the chair next to me. We talked to the ul...
I have not written in over a month! What have I been up to? Oh you know...working, being a wife, traveling to exotic locales like Pennsylvania (haha!), attending a wedding, going on a mini-vaca with my hubby, growing a baby...you know...the usual. I'll write again soon when I finally have something interesting to write about. Mike has been really encouraging me to write lately, and I have been putting him off. It does feel good to sit down here and tap out some thoughts! :)
