Today I went to Target - completely forgetting that it was Small Business Saturday - I should have been shopping locally. Anyway, I left before the kids were awake as Mike was home with them. When I came home several hours later, I was greeted by Easton and Jovie. I saw Grayson playing outside in the yard, and I smiled as I watched him twirling around. I stepped over to the couch to say something to Mike, and when I turned around - Grayson was right there.

He was looking up at me with his arms extended and a happy smile on his face. He met my eyes, and I bent over - and he gave me a huge hug. Then he was off again outside - twirling around the backyard.

He is an affectionate kid, who loves touch - he is usually all up in my business trying to get a sensory need met. I am used to that and I enjoy snuggling with him - usually! Ha! - but for him to engage like he did was very rare. It made me cry a few happy tears.
